Dear _______

I thought you might be interested in helping some of the poorest children in the world have an opportunity to get a good education that will help lift themselves and their families out of poverty. Aura's House at: http://www.aurashouse.com is currently raising funds for desks, books, and lab supplies that will help over 1,100 students from the Soweto Slums (considered to be among the worst in the world) of Nairobi, Kenya. A 100% US tax deductible gift of $25 will buy one desk, $30 will buy a set of textbooks for one student, and $50 will buy a microscope and chemistry set that would be shared by a group of students.

Aura's House at: http://www.aurashouse.com is a website started and run by a group of volunteers who raise money for small humanitarian projects (housing, health, and education) through the top-rated charitable organization, Children International and most recently the 501(c)(3) organization, Kenya Kids in Need. Unlike most groups or organizations, 100% of funds raised goes toward realizing their projects.

For photos of the children from the Soweto Slums and to learn more about the current Galilee School Project, please visit http://www.aurashouse.com. You can also browse past projects in Guatemala, Honduras, India, the Philippines, and Zambia and check out the latest family being helped in their "Small Projects" section.

All donations are 100% US Tax Deductible and every bit helps- even $1. You'll feel really great helping families who will never be able to repay you AND you'll be doing your good deed for the day.

Thanks,

Dear ___,

I hope you are doing well!  I wanted to let you know about a project that means a lot to me called Aura’s House. This online project http://www.aurashouse.com, was started in 2004 by Kristen Palana, a Professor of Art in New Jersey (now teaching at the American University of Rome in Italy). In 2004 she and her students raised $5000 to build and furnish a house for her sponsored child, Aura Hernandez, in Guatemala, and another $700 for the village school.  In 2005 she and volunteer, Anastasia Yecke of Miami, Fl. raised $6050 to build and furnish a home for the 10 members of the Rojas family in Honduras. Aura’s House works directly with top-rated US charity Children International and most recently the 501(c)(3) organization, Kenya Kids in Need. Donations are 100% US tax-deductible.

Aura's House currently has a project that aims to raise $5,000 to buy desperately needed desks, books, and lab supplies for some of the poorest children in the world who live in the Soweto Slums in Nairobi, Kenya. If you are interested, your 100% US tax deductible gift of $25 could buy one desk. $30 will buy a set of textbooks for one student and $50 will buy a microscope and chemistry set that would be shared by a group of students.

If you are able to help with the extremely worthwhile Galilee School Project in Kenya, please go to http://www.aurashouse.com for more details and to make an online or offline donation.  More details and photos of the people whose lives you’ll be changing are at the site.

Thank you in advance for whatever you can send. Every little bit helps tremendously, even $1.

Sincerely,

Hello there _________,

I hope that life is treating you well.

Well, it's that time of year again when I go on one of my do-gooder crusades to make the world a better place.

Aura's House was started by one person in 2004. To date it has raised nearly $30,000 to build and furnish homes for needy families in Guatemala and Honduras, build a well for a village in India, help send children from Zambia to school, and build a classroom for children in the Philippines. For photos of the children from the Soweto Slums and to learn more about the current Galilee School Project, please visit http://www.aurashouse.com. More details and photos of the people whose lives you’ll be changing are at the site.

Thank you in advance for whatever you can give. Every little bit helps tremendously, even $1.

Sincerely,

ps. If you are unable to give, you can also help by forwarding this to your friends and family.
