Aura's House Back Up and Running, Bacilio's House Under Construction, and Small Project #18 Complete.

Dear Aura's House Friends and Donors,

We're Ba-ack...
We told you back in February when the Aura's House site went on hiatus that it would be difficult for us NOT to be running the site for long. Whenever we get photos of the families helped by a completed project it validates all the hard work that goes into running Aura's House.

Two New Projects
We've recently launched The Guatemala Bed Project which aims to give 40 needy families in Guatemala the gift of a bed and mattress. Each bed costs $105 and will help maintain the health of children who otherwise have to sleep on the cold, hard (and often wet) ground.

Many families in Guatemala can't afford beds for all of their children.

We also launched Small Project #19 for Daniela Feliz Cuevas (7) of the Dominican Republic. We aim to raise $500 to buy her family the following gifts: a refrigerator, a chest of drawers, an atlas, and a dictionary.

Please consider a small donation to one of our worthy projects. Every bit helps, even $1 and as usual, all donations are 100% US Tax Deductible.

Two Past Projects Completed
Read the updates below regarding Small Project #18 for for Maria Rodriguez (11) of the Dominican Republic and The Bacilio House Project in Honduras. Both projects are complete and we have new photos of the families with their gifts to show you.

Ch...Ch...Changes
A few things are different at Aura's House to make it more efficient as well as easier to run.

First we now have a direct online donation button with Children International. This means no more Paypal fees or having to wait to send online donations to the intended recipients.

Another change is that we will be updating our project totals weekly rather than daily. This gives Children International a chance to make sure payments have cleared and us who are always updating the site and stats a chance to take a breath. The latest totals will be posted every Monday.

Finally, our newsletters will be published quarterly instead of monthly. All the latest photos and updates will be posted ASAP to the actual project pages on the site, but we'll sum up the latest news four times a year instead of twelve. This just keeps those of us at Aura's House from burning out and allows us to focus our energies on keeping the site moving forward, full speed ahead.

We hope you enjoy our latest newsletter. We are thrilled to be back in action and helping needy children and their families again. Thanks as always for your help and support.

Best wishes,
Kristen, Anastasia, Mike, Christina, and the Aura's House Team

Lift One

In 2005 Children International launched an online fundraising tool inspired by Aura's House called SponsorThon. Since then, it has now grown and evolved into the Lift One Project.

Just $22 a month will help a child get basic medical and dental care, schooling, clothing, and more.

Bacillo House Project Under Construction.

See more photos of the construction of Bacilio's new home.

The construction of the new house for Bacilio Ramirez and his family has begun! As you can see, the walls have been complete, and the workers are about to begin on the installation of the roof, windows and doors.

You've provided this poor family with so much more than a decent roof over their heads. They now have hope for a better future and happier times.

Small Project #18 - Gifts for Maria Arias Rodriguez

See photos of the gifts Maria and her family received.

The contributions raised through Aura's House were used to purchase a new bed, two fans, clothing items, and a great supply of food for the family.

Each member of the family was delighted to receive the special gifts you made possible!

Maria Arias Rodriguez is the sponsor child of partner Christina Sidoti's mother, Johanna Keorlet. Their family would like to thank all the Aura's House donors for caring for Maria and her family.
