The Central American Misadventures of Kristen Palana and Anastasia Yecke.
From March 11 to March 19, 2006 Kristen and Ana made the trek to Guatemala and Honduras. Mission #1 was to see Kristen's sponsored child (and this website's namesake), Aura Hernandez and family to finally meet them and see their new brick home. Mission #2 was to visit the Rojas Family of Honduras who were our second family featured at the site and who now live in a safe, sturdy brick home. Mission #3 (after a little relaxing and exploring) was to throw Ana's sponsored child, Keyla, a special Quinceañera Party.
Kristen and Ana braved gastro-intestinal distress, biting creepy crawlies, fist-sized spiders, scary Honduran clowns, and gringa-eating dogs to bring you these photos. Check out the video clips too!
