Rituparna and the other Villagers walk a long distance with heavy buckets along muddy roads. When Villagers (who on average earn under $1 a day) can't afford shoes, they can easily contract parasites through the soles of their feet. With a safe, modern well provided by Aura's House, Villagers won't have to walk as far and their overall health will improve.
